New Work in Progress

After a great weekend in Dalkey last weekend I have come away with great energy and excitement which I have harnessed and put into the beginnings of two new paintings, pictured here. Keep an eye out for the finished pieces!!

New Work in Oils

Its been awhile since I have posted anything here, but I have been busy changing from acrylic paint to oils, and I love working in oils. The freedom is absolutely fantastic! The paint moves so much easier and has also given me a new style where I am using my brushes more and less of my pallette knife. You can come and see the results at the Dalkey Winter Fair in the Heritage Centre on November 14th and 15th.

Working in Oils

It may be a recession, but it's also a good time to learn. With this in mind I have just joined an art class and am beginning to work in oils, something I have not had the space to do before. Although I use my acrylics in the same way as you would oils I think oils will give more depth to my work. So for those of you who have been asking me if I would work in oils...watch this space! I am looking forward to the results.
